In the serene suburb of Portland, Oregon, a Jewish community finds itself thrust into turmoil with the arrival of Rabbi Dreidel. Posing as a pious and fervent religious leader, he initiates the expansion of his flock, all the while harboring a secret appetite for sensual exploits. Masking his desires in a cloak of marital advice-seeking, Rabbi Dreidel embarks on a series of illicit encounters with unsuspecting women. At the outset, his congregation is duped by his feigned innocence, but as his appetites grow unabashedly explicit, a transformation occurs among a few courageous women. Challenging the shackles of their Orthodox upbringing, they begin to vocalize their troubling experiences. The revelation of the rabbi's true nature sends shockwaves through the community, culminating in a divisive battle for truth and authority. As loyalties are tested, the synagogue stands on the precipice of irreversible fracture. With everything at risk, the scandal promises to reforge or destroy a once-united community.
